The Local Area

Woodlands is located in the beautiful Lake District, in-between the towns of Windermere and Bowness.

The local towns and villages offer something for everyone on your visit to the Lake District, from local boutiques and shops, to popular tourist attractions such as the Beatrix Potter gallery and Hill Top Farm, the Aquarium of the Lakes and cruises on Lake Windermere. For those who are feeling a little more adventurous, there are of course a huge range of activities in the great outdoors.

When you stay at Woodlands, our team would be delighted to help you plan your trip to the Lake District, pointing out some of the popular attractions (and some of the less well known ones too!). We can also provide you with lunch hampers, or you'll no doubt feel spoilt for choice among the many Lake District pubs and traditional tea rooms.
